Because of the economy, there are so many dogs that are being taken to a shelter or their owners are making pleas for rescue groups to save their beloved pet.  Puppy mill breeders can't feed their overstocked dogs so are dumping them.  We are in desperate need for more fosters.  If you think you may be a candidate to help us help the less fortunate dogs, contact us at   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. How To Become a Pet Foster Parent

To be a foster your present dogs must be spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and on heart worm preventative.  You must be over 18 years and can be responsible for food, shelter and transportation.  YSDR pays for all vet bills. All rescued dogs must be kept in the house.  At this time, we only adopt in the Texas area so we can recommend you to another Yorkie group if you live out of state.  We are a small group that all share our love for animals.  It is not easy to tell our rescue dogs good-by but it is such a joy to see one that was neglected, sick or just abandoned become happy and well go to a wonderful loving forever home. The monetary pay is not good, $0.00, but the rewards of love are great!
